Hi, I just wanted to know if anyone knew of any decent paper shops in and around northamptonshire, or the surrounding counties. I've been ordering paper of the internet but it can be hard to find what you're looking for and I'd prefer to get a proper look and feel for what I'm buying beforehand. If anyone knows anywhere it'd be massively appreciated if you could let me know.
Thanks,

Thanks man, I think I've been to that hobby craft a while ago, before i properly started doing origami. As far as I remember there was some origami paper but nothing special just regular kami.

I had a browse around hobbycraft (Chelmsford) and didn't come across any interesting paper. Nothing handmade at all, just some kami as mentioned above. You'll be able to get some tissue paper there for making double / mc'ing.

I made the mistake of buying some 45 g/m2 paper thinking, thinner is better, This paper was artist sketching paper and aweful to fold, memory was terrible and open sinks were impossible, as booggerboy said, just Kami, slightly bigger, i think it was 20cm square, but that was it.
Ive now ordered some of the strathmore 300 tracing paper which was recommended in another topic. Looking forwards to this arriving.
So internet ordering reins supreme.
The trip to hobbycraft wasnt totally wasted, my daugther got a colouring book and some new felt pens out of it. Oh and some new drawing paper
(all its good for)
