Coating for 3D origami

Post by Ruriko »

I have just made a 3D origami dragon boat and I was wondering what kind of varnish do I need to keep the colour of the paper from fading and to keep the model strong so it doesn't fall apart.

the model looks similar to this clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZNHAhTkWkI

I only tried once but I was happy with the result. I used transparent spray paint. But I'm no expert, I hope some other people offer you some other ideas :)

If you find other options, would you please let me know?

I would like to stiffen the ears of my "Hat with Ears", and this time transparent paint wasn't enough. It worked better when I used it on tissue paper.
