I ran afoul of this trying to accurately cut handmade paper, and wound up ruining a couple nice sheets. I've gone out and purchased plexiglass forms, perfectly square. I have 6, 8, and 12 inch forms. The form goes on top of the paper which goes on top of a cutting mat. Trace around with a box knife and I get a square every time.
