I live in the UK Leeds England area Where either by store or an Online Website can I buy Rolls of PAPER Large or even Large Packs of Paper that can make like 60cm by 60cm Square or even Larger.
Two solutions that I've used:
- making tissue foil - you can get hold of good quality tissue paper from places like Paperchase or Hobbycraft, and turkey foil from the supermarket.
- brown packing paper - get this from somewhere like WHSmiths or even the Post Office - should be able to get rolls at least 60cm wide, it holds folds surprising well, I've used it to make the Ancient Dragon.
Nicholas Terry's origami shop delivers to UK but I don't know what their largest paper sizes are.
Pretty much the same as chris_t said, I've tried making double tissue with tissue from places like hobbycraft, which went okay and also using more expensive tissues from origami-shop.com which went pretty well.
As for buying large rolls of paper, I've found some brown packing paper called kraft in Rymans up to 1m wide I think. Its pretty big but its not the best stuff to fold from. I've also found various shops that sell coloured rolls of kraft paper but thats down here in Brighton, not sure if there are any specialist paper shops or stationers Leeds
Good Luck trying to find some
I use a lot of tissue foil for most of my work (tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MROF94-0ulA), but you can also use tracing paper, which is pretty cheap and large. If you have an art or supply store nearby, you can probably get a large roll of it. Good luck!
