Whisperpuffin - have you ever folded with the Kozo roll paper?

I'm trying to figure out if I should get it..
Are you talking about the kind that is for calligraphy? I've tried that, and it tends to be nicely thin, but very very soft...to the point that MC isn't able to fully compensate. Maybe multiple coats?

No, I can't remember which one I bought, but they alll tend to be pretty awesome. Just make sure the paper you're buying (if you're buying online like me) isn't 300gsm  . They do really good gampi and stuff too.

Unfortunately, I'm a couple of continents away from the real shop, so I can't really tell what kind of thing I'm buying. I just hope. But you guys who live close, you should really go there!

I used their kozo for my Ancient Dragon. I MC'd after precreasing, so I could leave the wings MC-free (that way they look better). It was really amazing!

Sorry about the threadjacking.

I've only tried that with Elephant Hide. It keeps the creases decently, even with the kozo?

Back to the original question, yes 60cm parchment paper is a good size to start folding the beetle with. I folded it from about 45cm baking paper and it was fine and turned out a good size.

You should buy Caligraphy paper with glossed backing already, its pretty strong and very thin. Suitable for wet-folding and MC is not needed.

Tried 40cm size with the parchment. I got to the forming of the large horn before it just got too thick to accurately fold. I guess I'll have to try something thinner.
