opinion on kraft paper
I was planning to fold the koi with scales using 60x60 kraft paper, Is kraft paper good for complex models????
well, i hate to be the broken record...
but i've said it before, kraft is actually a highly heterogeneous product, so buying a roll sometimes involves a leap of faith, especially if you can't "test-fold" a corner to see how well it holds a crease. some kraft is thin and strong, others are thick and springy. there's really no way to know in advance which kind you are getting, unless you can find the paper's weight somewhere on the roll's packaging (with lower being better). the kind that is thin and strong, which nicolas terry used to sell, is apparently quite good for insects.
