A quick scan of Robert Lang's website does indicate some excellent information regarding the improved contents.
NEW MODELS :
Dancing crane
Roosevelt Elk
silverfish
organist
Plus approx. 12 crease patterns , primarily insects .
Most especially , I look forward to the multitude of other improvements , which will be most appreciated and obviously makes this version a must have .
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

not necessarily being a huge fan of lang folding sequences, i was going to pass on v2. that said, it seems like you can trade in your old edition on amazon. this would more or less be like paying ~ $30 for an "upgrade."

Aren't diagrams for all of these already published elsewhere? Still, I assume there is a lot more new stuff. Wish I could justify owning both versions.

...

in the old thread (only 2 pages long), lang says that they have been previously published.

and i just said that if you want, you can trade in your old edition to amazon (it goes for about $25) for the new one, if you're so inclined. that means you pay ~ $25 for the 4 "new" diagrams, if that is your wish. that sounds like a lot, but it's actually roughly comparable to what ppl pay for the tanteidan newsletter, issue by issue.

Including the Roosevelt Elk? If so, where has that model been published before?

Will be $ 58.03 plus shipping , and probably a good excuse to obtain some more paper as well ...

Did this book come out on the 12th? I pre ordered mine from amazon and I got an email saying that it wouldn't ship for a little while. I was wondering if it was because they don't have enough copies of ODS 2 to sell or if the release date got moved back again.
