that's funny man. I think the worst i have ever gotten was my math teacher taking a half finished origami, and licence to fold, right off my desk, and keeping it until the end of class.

I call this theft, no teacher has the right to confiscate your personal belongings. He can ask you to put it away or hand it over voluntarily but taking it without your permission is nothing more than thievery, even if it's only for a short time.orislater wrote:that's funny man. Well here in the UK, under the 2006 Education and Inspections Act, teachers may confiscate items if, and I quote,
"1. they had the requisite authority (any paid member of staff does, as do unpaid staff members if so authorised by the headteacher)
2. the confiscation was on school premises, or elsewhere where the pupil was under their control
3. the confiscation was ‘reasonable’."
I think having your License to Fold out in the middle of class warranted your teacher's decision.

Orislater is like 13...He's old enough to know the teacher was gonna take that away. And F.Y.I., if it makes you feel any better, I'm 27 and my manager takes my origami away if I try to do it at work

well, im a freshman in highschool now. most people ask me how i did that. i always answer 'i folded it' there response ' i know that, but how did you fold it?' does anyone know how i should answer that? i dont get that question at all. and the other day in school, i was trying to design a praying mantis and this old italian russian sub lady came up to me and said' no, you no play with paper in my class' and then she picks it up and throws it out. it was actually pretty funny.
