I've been told:
"How did you do that!?" and
"You're too good!"
I once asked a friend why he didn't do origami, and I got a fairly negative response:
"Because I have a life.
Hmph...

Oh they just don't want to try it because it's "gay" ,"lame", "stupid", "a waste of paper", "dumb", etc.

That's exactly what my bratty sister thinks of origami. The only models she really likes are dragons.

lots of people say wow that's awesome
and also lots of them say " make me one" and that gets really annoying so i just make a simple tessellation and give it to them.
i taught a friend once and the hardest thing he could do was montroll's pelican he doesn't understand the diagrams so i just make one next to him and help him with the hard steps
i once tried to teach him kamiya's cerberus and we got to step113 and then he had to leave so after about a month i found two started cerberuses and finished them both so he got mad at me.

Several times have I been asked to make "one" for someone, but it's always a model that I don't feel like making at the time. Some people don't seem to respect my talent, and once I almost couldn't fix a fairly large spiral snail shell (Kawasaki) that was almost wrecked by my best friend. :(
