Re: what glue should I use?
@mir numaan. Could you make links to some examples of this textured TF? I would like to see what it looks like. Sounds very nice!

I don't think he uses a special method to make his Tf, it looks normal to me. Maybe you haven't read the describtion of each photo, on some models he used crumpled paper (VOG).

i also need the texture
it looks awesome but i don't get it when i make T.F

Re: what glue should I use?
Crumple the tissue paper before sticking it on to the foil
I have done this a couple of times. Double tissue works very good.

hey tissue paper is very weak, so if i crumple it, it will rip off.

Like I already said the guy you linked us to uses crumpled (VOG) paper which you can buy on origami-shop. His tissue-foil looks normal.
Re: what glue should I use?
Yesterday I made a sheet of double MC paper using a sheet of crumpled VOG paper and a sheet of non-bleeding tissue paper. Worked out great. The tissue paper took over the structure of the crumpled paper, making it indistinguishable which paper had the structure first. Initially I was worried that the structure could vanish completely when the paper gets wet, but that wasn't the case. It was definitely worth the try. The structure also survived when I pressed my model over night under a pile of books.
Now I think about spraying hair lacquer to the backside of the model to make it more stable. It's supposed to be a display piece, but I'm not yet sure whether the hair lacquer is consistent with my purist rules. On the other hand it doesn't really change the model like cuts or glue would. It would just add a little bit more stiffness.

Re: what glue should I use?
hello guys!
so i am getting terrible defeat while making double tissue XD. sometimes the paper wrinkles a lot and ruins the paper and sometimes it is only glued at the corners. i am using PVA because the MC i get is not pure and kinda ruins everything
can PVA penetrate through the layers of tissue like MC? or should i glue them onto one another? hope you guys understand what am i talking about

Re: what glue should I use?
Cut a bunch of small samples of tissue paper (they don't have to be square) and then test gluing them with different proportions of water and glue. Then when they dry see which ones you like best.
Help with glue!
Hi guys.
So I'm new at the glue for origami and glue 2 papers together and I tried to do my homework and I bought this glue: http://www.henkel.pt/ptp/content_images ... H_425W.jpg
but now I have no idea how I should dilute the glue.
I want help more specifically to glue two Unryu paper for the Phoenix by Satoshi kamiya.
Help me please! Thank you!

Re: Help with glue!
hey, check the topic what glue should i use and post it there. There are also a few extremely useful tips given by some forum members there. It would make things confusing if we have lots of topics for a single subject. Good luck with the pheonix

Re: Help with glue!
Just a suggestion, only use 1 unryu for the phoenix. It needs to be a very thin paper
