Yeah, same with me. I must admit, I have illegally downloaded a few of Hideo's hard to come by diagrams. Purchasing this book will make me feel better about that!

well, not technically. you can place preorders now. the book ships in july.

interesting to see that his newly diagrammed stuff isn't in there.

it's further interesting to see that some of his old stuff didn't make the cut either (his kingfisher, caterpiller).

It is really expensive with ¥5,700 but I will get it. I thought Origami House put a hold on new
publications. I guess that is lifted now. I hope there will a Works of SATOSHI Kamiya Vol. 2. With published diagrams and a few new ones.

as outlined in another thread, there is a queue. after the komatsu book, it's the hojo one. then chan. one can only assume works of SK 2 would be after that. sooooooo... at the very least, you are looking at 2015, and that's assuming they publish 1/year, which is highly doubtful.

Works of Satoshi Kamiya 2 will be published so far by the end of this year. A guy from the AEP told me that he had asked Yamaguchi-san in Angouleme and that's what he told him.

i did not find any information about the content of the book - the cover pictures obviously won't show all of the models inside ...

I take it you're talking about the Komatsu book? There's a link on the Origami House page (the one that Kafar linked to) with the table of contents.

An image of the contents is further down the page that Kafar linked to. It can be found here.

Origami-shop also have it for pre-order here. Along with the same images.

Here is the list;

"Simple Series"
Santa Claus
Rooster
Pig
Boar

"Other"
Clown Mask 2

"Animal Series"
Fox
Squirrel (he has two of these, this is the newer of the two)
Panda (judging from the image on the contents page, it's the 2007 version)
Rabbit (he has two rabbits, too, but the other is called "Rabbit 2" on his site, so I'm making another assumption here)
Horned Owl
Horse
Cat
Dog
Sheep
Wolf
Giraffe
Hippotamus
Japanese Macaque
Lion
Tiger

No problem.

As has been mentioned previously, it seems that the diagrams for his book (like others from Origami House) were collected long before the actual release, so perhaps he had not even designed the sea horse when the book was being finalised. According to his site, it was created at the beginning of this year, so it seems likely.

I am a fan of the seahorse, though, and have folded it a few times. Even tried to come up with my own folding sequence, so if you need help with the crease pattern, start a topic and I'll see if I can help.

Origami House has published a nice album on facebook. There are photos of all the models appearing in the book:
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 191&type=1

and this confirms that both Panda and Squirrel are the revisited models.

But more interestingly there are small modifications appearing in various models (one of the most notable is the back of the horse). What do you think?
