They were hypothetical. If I draw diagrams, they will be crude and if someone doesn't design, their model selection may be limited. The question had more to so with the welcomeness or not of diagrams that document an already well documented model.

Well, I drew up some diagrams. I hope you guys like business card models. I submitted:
business card cube (and speed unit production)
business card cubohemioctahedron unit
business card dog bone unit
business card jumping frog
business card ninja star
business card octahedron
cube stand (not a business card model)
flintlock pistol v2.0 (also not a business card)

Haha someone's been prolific!! I can't wait to see the pistol!!
EDIT: My rough pangolin v.2 diagrams are almost done, if someone wants to make clear diagrams!!

I'd like to! how many steps you got in your diagrams? i got finished my little angels diagrams and i got 64 steps in it! i'm going to scan and send them tomorrow :P
