woah! Are there diagrams to that clone trooper in conv. 16 book!? If it's the whole body, then I am buying it, because it can easily be modified to be a stormtrooper. :D

wow, based on the stuff in the link, it looks like this could be a really good year.

and no, its not the whole clone trooper. Just the helmet. He had taught it at OUSA this year as well.

well, going by the logic in this thread, if it's just the helmet, then clearly the magazine is not worth buying.

Well, to be honest I don't get it either.

My convention book was shipped on Monday also. Is Kamiya's turtle complex or just very simplified? I'd love to see how the plates are folded (I did it from CP once), but it seems almost impossible to capture in diagrams...

ok. if it wasn't obvious, i was being facetious when i said that the kamiya turtle was simplified to be pureland.

If Kamiya's turtle is simplified, what is the problem? Kamiya is a good person in diagramming it and the people complaining on it!! I do not understand. I want to fold Maekawa's Iris and Hojyo's skull. They seem to me much more funny!! :P

It was and still is incredibly obvious.

Also, that Clone Trooper takes Kei Morisue 2 days to fold. Do you really expect diagrams?? I'm quite impressed that he's made diagrams for the helmet! That helmet is very nice and 3D, and he's only 18.

Edits:

Jen, it can't be. The folds necessary to make it can't be done in pureland (sinks).

Josh, had she said that, she could have been serious and not just mocking the people whining about super complex designs being slightly simplified for the purpose of being diagrammable.

Anderson, I agree! Well, not necessarily about Maekawa's Iris, but about how impressive and giving it is for Kamiya to be diagramming all of this! And also the Sea Turtle is not what I'm most anxious to see.

Ryan, no he doesn't. Those are completely different turtles.

Man, I can't wait for my book to arrive!
