Hi there, I enjoy action models, but most of them are much too simple for my taste. Does anyone know any complex action models? I know Jeremy shafer has designed a rabbit in a hat, a swiss army knife, and nail clippers, but are there any others?

Robert Lang's Action Origami should give you what you want.

This is a really cool subject! I would also love to know!
Well my Fireplace Bellows and my Grabber are only Low Intermediate, but at least they aren't simple

Thoki Yenn's Flip Flop

If you're only interested in seeing models in action, I recommend you take a look at the first round in the Origami TV Champion in which Jeremy Shafer was one of the contestants. There are many great, cool models by Japanese folders, too!

Oh yeah, I saw that! I will be folding his rabbit in a hat soon. I wish he'd design more models like his nail clippers, swiss army knife, and rabbit in a hat

Shafer actually has a book out now that has diagrams for his clippers and swiss army knife. i forget the exact title, but i do know it's something to the effect of "origami to astonish, amuse, and entertain". it also has a few other complex action models
