When you're bored in public, and happen to have some paper, what is it that you make to show people?

If I have a while, Charles Esseltine's dragon in flight. If not, I fold a penguin I designed :)

MIchael LaFosse's Origamido butterfly, or Joisel's crane if I have enough time.

Generally I fold my dragon, or if I don't have as much time, a traditional gondola.

The flapping bird. I can do it quickly, it's impressive to a casual viewer, and I'm practicing tricks with it (doing it blindfolded, doing it with one hand).

^ I folded a crane blindfolded once--it was fun.

I usually make whatever I'm in the mood to make at that time--of course, depending on the size/type of paper.

I normally doodle with the square from A4 and make my rocket design with the remainder.

Robert Lang's duck from "Complete Book of Origami" is one of my favorites to teach people that I meet, especially when they say they could never do origami. I like the simplicity of the model, as well as the outcome which is fairly duck-like and makes use of both sides of the paper. I had a lot of practice teaching it in hospital waiting rooms this past year  .
