Whats everyone's thoughts on the most ideal weight of paper / card for Origami?
Is there a certain material / composition that is ideal?
Are there specific brands that are widely accepted as brilliant for Origami?
Just out of comparison, what is standard corrugated cardboard in a weight sense?

Not quite sure I understand your question. Are you looking for certain types of paper to use?
As far as paper goes, anything from 20-300gsm is good, depending on your choice of model.
And corrugated cardboard would be a few hundred gsm, but I don't know the exact nunber.

There is no perfect paper for all origami. Depending on what you are folding, the best paper choice varies greatly. Paper weighing 15 to 150 grams is used to great effect for different subjects.

My preferred papers are 110gsm elephant hide (the best of all manufactured papers) and our own handmade flax/abaca blend, which is probably 90gsm, if I had to guess.
I like folding tessellations, so my paper preferences are of course for the right materials for that purpose... as others have said, different types of models have different papers that work best for them.
