Art and Origami

Hello!

I am embarking on a long term project in which I will investigate some of the more difficult questions the world of origami faces as it continues on as a relatively young artform, e.g. is it art or craft? Are the technical limitations a good or a bad thing? Can one sell a model designed by someone else? Regardless of your opinion, these are not black and white topics, and my intention is to delve deeper into these subjects by interviewing not only folders and designers, but also artists of other mediums and people on more of the business side of things. I will also be tracking my progress as a designer, beginning with my very first design. This blog serves as an artist's journal for me, but I also want to be helpful to who my potential audience may be.

What questions would you like to see me tackle?
Would you like to see interviews of beginning artists? Mid-level? Only masters? Crafters? Practitioners of other crafts' ideas about art?
What questions/sorts of questions would you have me ask?
What would you like to know about my designs as I post them?

Feel free to PM me. Here is a link to the blog:info on my blog:

Those are really interesting questions! You could make a research project with just one of them.

Best of luck LayersofPaper :)
