Selling my CPs?

Post by Baltorigamist »

I'm thinking about selling some of the CPs for my models on OUSA. My question is this: Who would be interested in buying them, and how much would you be willing to pay?

well..after looking at your models, i would say that there will be some interest in the bug cp's (or at least thats what i found most interesting anyway). just today i noticed lang selling diagrams for his "k2" model for $2.50. with that being said, and the fact that they are full diagrams, i cant personally see paying more than $1.00 for a crease pattern. And even that might be too much for some.

This seems lazy to me... How about the mixed approach? CP for the base, then diagrams for the shaping? Like that horse in 50 Hours from VOG.

I honestly wouldn't buy a cp... I agree with kareshi

I am afraid I am in agreement. While CPs are an efficient way to notate and communicate a design, they are not instructions.

I'd say it depends on the situation/location. For example, say you have an extremely impressive design on display at a convention, with an unreleased CP to it being sold from $.25 - 1.00 depending on the complexity. I'd be willing to spend that much for a physical CP, but spending that little amount of money on the internet is rather cumbersome.
