Your first Kamiya model is always something special, like a gateway to complex origami kinda. So what was your first, successful or not? My first attempted one-unicorn. My first success-Ancient Dragon(Needless to say it was bad, I might have some old pics, but the model is God knows where in my cousins apartment

)

I got back into origami after years of non-folding by browsing 4chan for paper craft models (for those who don't know, paper craft and origami share the same forum in 4chan), someone there posted a link to a bunch of tanteidan books, I downloaded them, and thought the chocobo in one of the books looked cute. I didn't find it particularly hard, and at the same time, I also didn't know who S.K. Was either.
It was a few months later when I got a copy of his book and recognized the model.
So not really as special as you thought...

And then you realised the Tanteidan books were illegal?

If it makes you feel any better, I wouldn't have purchased them anyway, since they were mostly in Japanese.
And if it redeems me at all, I've purchased a few origami house books to make up for it after.

I first folded his Pegasus last year from a pink sheet of paper I had laying around. It is still my best fold of that model as of now haha.
