I've been searching for the diagrams of that rhino. Great!

I've merged the two topics into one to avoid confusion.

Origami Tanteidan did a really good job around the book this year. I was positively surprised that they actually asked for diagrams and sent me a confirmation mail that they received my diagrams. Now I hope that they liked them and will include them for the book. It is great to see that JOAS is improving their service for international folders so much. I also very much appreciate that they now include the original English written articles to their magazines. So if anyone from JAOS reads this: Thank you!

Shame on JOAS, imho. Same names everyear, no matter if model is great or not. There are some rubbish models by "famous" artists (will not point out which ones) that actually are 100 times worse than i knew of some friends who didn't pass, - the less famous artists. Every year same story. Looks like we know what JOAS is like : )

What if OUSA's Annual Collection was divided into "Models by 'MERICANS" and "Models by Non-'MERICANS"?

Looks like my diagrams didn't make it.

I am genuinely surprised to see a model from a published book. Once I publish a model in a book it's done, I don't use it again.

Tanteidan has trouble dealing with my diagrams every year, but I am happy they took the effort!
Hopefully I can fix the issue making it easier on them a possible (hopefully) next time.

And yes, I am surprised it contains models published elsewhere!

Sorry, but that is not a very nice, even bitter, thing to say. I don't take it personally, but you could be happy for the people who were selected. I sent diagrams for years and never got chosen and being selected is still not a guarantee for me. I work hard on my designs and diagrams...

Well, I've also already had a model in Tanteidan Convention Book 17, but still I would have hoped they take it. On the other hand I was a bit worried they wouldn't because the diagrams are a bit on the long side with 10 pages, but I didn't want to go any smaller because otherwise it would have been hard to make out what to do. It's not the easiest model I have to admit, but I will make sure to publish it elsewhere. I've got some requests to diagram it, so I know that people actually want to fold the model and I've also had a test-folder successfully folding the model so I know the diagrams are clear enough to work from.

Yes, of course, I do not deny that. Thing is there are so many great designs out there. I wish the book was thicker...
