What Should I Fold For The Mag. Im Being Featured In
Hello again guys. Im being featured in an art magazine in January. They want to interview me and show some models I've folded. Does anyone have some suggestions for what I should fold? It's hard when I have 6th grade classes but im up for challenges and very complex models.

Wow! I've never been in a magazine/newspaper for my origami. You must be very talented! I suppose it depends on your skill level. May I ask what models you've folded lately so we can know what skill level you're at? Then it may be easier to tell.

Congratulations! It's a great accomplishment.
1. Tell all of your teachers and solicit help/suggestions with coursework/ time management.
2. Focus more on some simple models, beautifully folded. A Crane, Flapping Bird, Traditional Frog all folded with beautiful paper and perfect creases are more artistic, striking, and impressive than a complex model. Even if you fold well, a complex model can be overwhelming to non-Origami folks.
3. I also suggest some butterflies. Yoshizawa, Lafosse, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GoqQf7GRyk
4. If you have time, then you might consider complex models: Duo colored models, such as Neal Elias, The Last Waltz; Dwarf by Eric Joisel; Phoenix by Satoshi Kamaya; Any bugs, and the cockatiel by Robert Lang ... as well as Mooser's Train.
5. And, of course, come up with 100 - 200 words of your folding history, 100 words about Origami, and take some nice pictures for us

ad 2) Folding traditional models is something I wouldn't advice. Most people already know them, so they won't feel impressed. Beautiful paper and perfect creases impress even more on not so well known models.
JeFt, I don't know what you usually fold, but what about folding your favourite models as clean as possible? Do you have any own models? Definitely show them. I think you said something about a skate-park? Fold it from nice paper as clean as possible and big enough that all details show up well ...and then show us a picture too because we would love to see it :-p

Lately I've been folding satoshi kamiyas Minotaur, and designing my scaled serpent 2.0.
About the serpent, I've only spent like 3-5 1/2 hours on it so i still have a while to go.
