So after almost 20 years the complete works of Neal Elias have been realised on a special order DVD .
There are over 1600 models on it, in the form of a large secure, hi res PDF containing all of his notebooks. There is also a mass of extras, diagrams, including the bos booklets that are the Rosetta Stones to the shorthand, crease pattern styles used in the notebooks.
There are also some diagrams by the likes of Halle, and a couple of videos.
The Last Waltz has to be one of the true icons of origami, so it is great to see the other dancing models in the same place.
Elias basically made box pleating his own, while I have problems folding from crease patterns I have successfully managed many of the models from the notebooks in the past.
For £25 this is an amazing and unique collection, and possibly one of the most anticipated publications in many years.
I believe it will soon be available from BOS supplies. There has been a list of models in the publication for some time on the origami database.

I didn't do it, another David, Dave Venables .
But yes agreed it has taken him a while, a true passion, and worth the wait.

Many thanks for your kind comments.
The Origami World of Neal Elias is available direct from me now and will be from BOS supplies after the review by Wayne Brown has been published - hopefully in the next magazine. OUSA has expressed an interest in adding it to the Source as has Nicolas Terry for his ori shop. Pricing will be a matter for them.
The price from me or the BOS will be £25 plus P&P.
Anyone wishing to have more information or wanting to obtain a copy from me please email me at davevenables AT hotmail DOT com. with a subject heading The Origami World of Neal Elias.
For interest I am currently doing illustrations for one of my favourite 3D busts of Neal's - The Mad Hatter. It will take a few weeks yet but I am quite excited about them.
Best Wishes
Dave (Venables)

Very excited to hear about this. I've been looking forward to this compilation ever since I heard / read about it many years ago. I will definitely be ordering sometime soon! It might not be a bad idea to offer it as a direct download by creating an image of the disc and selling that also. Saves on postage and the buyer can have it fairly quickly to either burn their own disc or just use it virtually on their computer. Thanks for all the hard work!

This is awesome to hear. I have always loved his models, but getting the diagrams has always been tough.
