Oh happy day! You can finally buy Neorigami's printed book: Practigami

In 2012, 31 origamists from all over the world created the 57 models that competed in the Inter-forum Useful Model Challenge. PRACTIGAMI is the fruit of that project. In the book you'll find 22 of the original models for you to fold, each one with a practical purpose, organized depending on the context of use, for example: origami for going out, for the house, and for dining. You'll be able to fold origami models as original as garden labels, fireplace bellows, and condiment shakers...

Thanks for asking! It's available in six different offices of Bubok around the world.

If you're interested, please follow the link from the first post. Here it is again: http://neorigami.com/neo/index.php/en/a ... inted-book

In that page you'll find a further explanation of the book and links to the different offices. If you have any trouble you can send me a message to gerardo(a)neorigami.com

Gerardo, it would be cool if you sold it as an e-book because shipping from these countries would cost a lot. If you do so you could sell it on origami-shop.

Thanks GrossMichael. For now we'll just offer it as a printed book just cause that's what we talked with all the people that helped out with the book. Maybe in the future we'll consider that option.

I will look for a better option so shipping can be significantly cheaper.

FINALLY!... after making you wait so much, the book is finally being sold both through CreateSpace and Amazon Europe. It only costs 3.13 US$ in CreateSpace... yes, a original printed origami book that costs just a bit more than 3 US$ :D. You do have to pay for shipping, but international shipping is nowhere as expensive as it was through Bubok so I hope this motivates you to get your own copy ;).

It has a different price in each of the sites that compose Amazon Europe, which may be a bit higher than the one from CreateSpace. So if you live in Europe or closer to Europe than to United States, I suggest you compare the price between Amazon Europe and CreateSpace -including shipping- in order to make the best decision. Ok?

In this page you'll find the links to the different webpages that sell the book:

That's awesome news! Through which Amazon Europe site did you buy it? When is it suppose to arrive? I hope you enjoy folding the models :).

If you let others know about the book and its price, the team behind the book will really appreciate it.

Follow origami_8's example, buy a copy of the cheapest genuine origami printed book ever!

Delivery is supposed to be some when between Tuesday and Thursday this following week. As it is the only one with free shipping to Austria, I've chosen the German Amazon.de.

The book arrived today. With 19x19cm it is rather Pocket sized, so that you can carry it around easily. The book is divided in several chapters that feature fitting models:

For going out
Coin purse
Purse

For the yard
Garden labels
Anemometer

For playing around
Yellows and reds
Flexi unit ball

For the house
Phonestand
3D Portrait photo frame
Twister Lamp
Fireplace bellows
The nose

For organizing & cleaning
Pockets for useful things
Dust pan
Garbage can
Grabber

For dining
Water holding cup
Bowl
Spoon
Condiment shakers
Toothpick frog

For other reasons
Pointed square
Voodoo Doll

Given that the book is a compilation by several authors there are several different drawing styles, still on a first look they all look rather clean. I can't say anything else about their quality yet as I haven't had the time to fold something from the book.

So guys, in case you haven't bought it yet give it a chance. You'll enjoy some really cool diagrams at a very low price :).

Thank you so much origami_8 for your short review!

Regarding the chapters, "For the house" is a chapter apart from "For playing around". It starts with the Phone stand and ends with The nose.

About the diagrams, I would like to add that I personally tested all the diagrams and gave feedback in order to improve them. Two origamists did the same with the diagrams for my own models the Fireplace bellows and the Grabber.

I hope you fold something from the book soon :).

Corrected. I've wrote everything down and only then decided to add the formatting to make it easier readable, seems I missed the one headline.

That's excellent news Benlewisorigami!

I'm sure you'll love the book. Share us your own review once you have it.

origami_8, can I ask you a favor? Would you grade and add your review in Amazon.uk and Amazon.de? As you know, customers' reviews can be very helpful to help other people make up their mind, so that would help the book a lot!
