Horse Zodiac for Chinese New Year?

CNY is coming up and I fold the zodiac every year for relatives/frds.... any tips you may have for horses?
I've tried several horse models ie. Seiji Nishikawa, Roman Diaz, Nicholas, etc. The greatest difficulty I have is with the mane, and hooves (don't know how to make them round, I made them sharp like the peagasus in VOG2).
Paperwise I've got Nicolas Terry gold tissue foil (40cm) in the mail. Any other recommendations from origami-shop I should try?
Thanks so much

My favourite horse would always be Hideo Komatsu's. It is the most fun model i have folded.

You just read my mind! It's the most favorite horse model I've ever folded. The folding process is so clean and fun!

I like Roman Diazs horse because the mane is really cool. The foil should work well for shaping, but you may want to consider wet folding. You just sort of have to work the paper over to get e right shape. Use a toothpick to get fine details, it really works. Hope I helped.

Trollip has a nice horse aswell. He uses a sink to make a colorchange on the mane.
