Hullo everyone!
I'm new here, I was just wondering if anyone might be able to help me. I'm taking a class in which I have to make a demonstration speech on Origami.
I've chosen to focus on the crane, because it is so popular, but I haven't been able to find much information about it. TONS of stuff about how to fold it, the 1,000 cranes story and whatnot but not very much history about it.
What I would like to know is, When was the crane invented and by whom? If it's just been around for ages and no one knows where it came from, that's alright--but if anyone could fill me in on its history, that would be SO COOL.
