If I remember correctly, Brian Chan's book and Hokyo Takashi's book are next on their publication list so we may have to wait a while for this if it is true.

Froy, I was just about to make the topic when you did it for me!

@Mir Numan, Seriously? An Insects 3?! That's fantastic! But we're not sure whether or not this is true, is it?

You said that like it's a fact Mir. Do you have a source? Just asking.

I recall Robert Lang mentioning it on the "O" list.
The only model referenced was the katydid, within a compilation book, presumably in among the work of other designers.
He mentioned that the book may have been shifted to the "back burner" due to other Origami House priorities.
A " don't hold your breath" moment ...

Its probably not going to be insects 3. The insects books were written by different authors. Seiji Nishikawa and Fumiaki Kawahata wrote insects 1, Robert Lang wrote insects 2, I don't see why they would get Lang to make insects 3 too.... the insects books were made to show the different styles of insect design, getting lang to write a second instead of finding another author would just be redundant.

sorry, but i don't have any source :p. Lang has 2 upcoming books, the tesselation one, which is probably going to be released in April? and an insect book. Don't know whether it would be origami insects 3(sorry). Maybe a book titled ''Hex pleated insects by R.lang'' ? xD

besides that, if it was true he was working on another insect book, this would be his fourth.

I'm out. Cause I've already contacted Robert Lang about a permission for a video tutorial and if I ask something again, It'll seem rude, won't it?

Or you guys could tell me whether or not I should contact him?

I don't think it really is worth contacting Lang about this. Origami house is notorious for slow publishing (relative), and as stated before, other artists seem to be next in line for their OrigamiHouse exclusive.

Steady, folks !
Let's not presume that we, this forum or anyone else, have any inherent right to information from any individual.
Dr. Lang is more than capable of disseminating information if and when he chooses.
Enthusiasm regarding any new origami book is understandable, but a modicum of patience may be needed.
Personally, I'm just happy that Origami House continues to publish books, and I'm satisfied to give them time to do just that .
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .
