Hello everyone
What do I do if someone has stolen my design and is making money from it through YouTube ads? I have reported the person but YouTube have denied my request without any explanation. I uploaded my tutorial a few months before this person's tutorial. I have written everywhere clearly that it is my design. The person hasn't said who the model in their tutorial was designed by and when I asked in a comment they removed it without replying. Why remove the comment if they have nothing to hide?

May I ask what model it is? Most of the models in your videos seem to be traditional models. Are you sure that it is no case of independent discovery like it happens so often with simple Origami models?

The person hasn't said that it is their model either and removed my comment asking who was the designer. My comment was simply: Great tutorial Who designed this model?
It is strange.

Wow, so you have been hit by copyright thieves too? Damn... people these days...

Sounds good, Fishgoth. Concise and to the point. Also not aggressive and very assertive. Good way to handle it, unlike a lot of people I have seen.

I dunno, life's short and I prefer not to deal with this kind of thing. I've seen my published (in my books from which I get coin) models copied into other sources, but it just isn't worth dealing with. I've seen my books available for download, but I figure its good advertising, and odds are someone downloading instead of purchasing aren't my customers anyway.

In your case you aren't loosing any treasure. You put something up on the web for free hoping someone would use it and someone did. I'd call that success and move on.

Sorry, I just feel life is too short and precious to concentrate on the negative.
