Hairspray for origamis?

Post by iRockSniffincoke »

I heard that if you use hairspray it'll keep dust off origamis or something like that. I live in a very humid area and I have some Tresemme humidity resistance hairspray and I was wondering if I sprayed this on my origamis would it really help to keep it clean?

I doubt that hairspray keeps dust off anything. Hairspray can be used to make Origami models stronger and slightly water repellent.

Well nothing will honestly keep your models dust free. Dust collects on anything, including origami, so there's not much you can do. But there's spray laquers, spray gloss finishes, and several things (if you're looking to make the model permanent) that can be used to solidify the model.
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

Following this train of thought, maybe a transparent display case could help you more.

Just an idea :)
