Ram and Pig model suggestions...
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of folding a bunch of pigs and rams for a friends wedding (the bride and grooms chinese zodiac sign). I'm looking for a simpler design for decorations, and something well you know "nicer" as a separate I don't know pre-wedding gift or something like that. Checked out orgiamidatabase.com and gilliadorigami.com and saw lots of models listed but no photos.
I see there's Montrol's Mythological Creatures and the Chinese Zodiac in Origami. I'm wondering if some who has it and/or folded the models could comment or get in touch with me. And of course, I'd welcome other recommendations (esp if the diagrams are easily available.)
Thanks in advance.

You could try the flying pig by Bodo Haag if you don't mind it to have wings. There's a tutorial for it. Hang on, I'll get it in a minute.

Quentin trollip has a nice pig. You could try my goat. Diagram on my flickr or the goat by roman Diaz. Haven't seen a ram design.

Re: Ram and Pig model suggestions...
try google with "origami pig paul jackson" ... this pig has just 3 legs, is folded from a rectangle but is easy and has a fine shape.
if you're going to visit my little flickr_gallery, please leave a comment - a critical one is welcome, too, if necessary: http://www.flickr.com/photos/57625237@N02/

This Ibex by Robert Lang might suffice as a ram:http://www.giladorigami.com/origami-dat ... 0J.%20Lang Jozsef zsebe, has a nice goat/ram and pig, not sure if they are in any of his books though. It should say on his Flickr.

Jun Maekawa has a sheep/ram. It's pretty good, I know for sure it is in Genuine Origami, and I bet there are videos for it too.
EDIT: a picture...

Re: Ram and Pig model suggestions...
Yeah, my YouTube friend, Crystal Flames has a nice tutorial for it.
Re: Ram and Pig model suggestions...
thanks everyone for the great suggestions.
I decided to order montroll and genuine origami and I'll fool around with other models too. Looks like I have a bit of folding to do, always a good thing!

My favorite pig. It is really natural looking. It's a dollar bill, though. Depends on how many you need I suppose. Hope this helps.

I finally got it to say something under my posts!
