I thought it would be a good idea to make a post on adding details to bases of models. So, just post how you guys add things like toes, scales, etc... Also how you do things like making things pointier, or thinner. Anything like that. Thanks.

Toes and scalaes are usually part of the base(they appear in the cp). Making things pointier or thinner usually involves bisecting the angle or sinking the part.

For adding details, a graft usually provides more paper. If you are really interested in that kind of stuff, you should probably read Origami Design Secrets by Robert J. Lang. Lang describes all those techniques in great detail, giving many examples to try out yourself.

last way of adding toes is by point-splitting, but that shortens the original flap length.
I second the suggestion to get ODS, it's a great book.
