Western Europe between May 5 - 14

Post by origamiguy »

Does anyone know of any origami conventions in Western Europe the weekends of May 5-7 or May 12-14?

I will be in Belgium and Netherlands those weekends and am looking to improve my skills.

I would also be interested in going to a local group meeting.

Hi Brian,

The OSN (Dutch society) website lists various regional meetings, but they seem to be on weekday evenings. If you can get over to London there is a mini meeting there on May 13th.

Hi Edwin,
Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I am staying in Leiden for my time in the Netherelands, and there seems to be nothing there during the week, or any other time.

I will see about the BOS mini meeting. Will you be attending? Are you in UK or Netherlands, or somewhere else?

Sincerely,
Brian

I live in France, right on the border with Switzerland (Geneva). It's been years since I attended the London meetings, but the current group seems to be quite active. Depending on how mobile you are, you might be able to get a cheap flight to London with EasyJet. London is of course worth visiting anyway - there's also the bookshop that handles Supplies for the BOS, which has a large selection of origami books. If you are able to go, I can give you the details (they are also on the BOS website).

Hi Brian
If you can make a weekend of it- then there are a couple of other places worth visiting.
The BOS library is outside London but is assured to blow you away- in a non violent kind of way.
You can see a list of what the BOS library has on the Origami Database.

Let me know if you want more details.

Edwin think I may have been at the last London meeting you attended!
