Morley's trisector theorem

Post by Kundalini »

Hi
i was reading a math book(The math book, clifford pickover) about math's history, and i found a theorem pretty old from 1899 that said if you do trisector in a triangle in the middle appear an equilateral triangule.

Maybe it can be useful for someone, when we do folds, at designing, etc.

here you can see the image http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morley%27s ... or_theorem

I just made a nice bowl out of an equilateral triangle using this theorem, a difficult to photograph one, so I'm not uploading anything yet.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Here it is:

And of course the base ot the model is the equilateral triangle resulting from the intersection of the trisection of the angles.
