I'm Denis from the Jumperound creative lab! Nice to meet you everyone.

We are the creators of such successful Kickstarter projects as World of Mythlogy and Mythical https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ju ... 0/comments.

Our next project is ORRRI

Orrri is a beautiful origami artbook for people of all ages.
Orrri's art is very cute, illustrative and unusual for origami models.

Now i'm looking for authors contacts to get a permission for using their beautiful diagrams and Dave Brill from OAC team adviced me to ask forum community for help.

So guys please help me to find this great people.

Yes, exactly

The third one from top to bottom, on the left, seems to be the crane which is a traditional model. There's no known creator for that model, you can use it freely.

It's possible that other models from the picture are also traditional and free to use comercially. I hope others do help out and let you know if they are or not. For now I advice you to visit http://origami-resource-center.com and check out all the diagrams by subject (penguin, cat, rabbit, etc.) to see if you find the other models of the picture and who are their respective creators.

I also suggest that you ask in the origami mailing list and in a couple of origami groups through Facebook. You can find the mailing list by googling it.

The skunk (top right corner) is by Nick Robinson, I believe. I know the fox (under the crane) is traditional as well.

The rabbit, second from top to bottom on the left, seems to be Stephen O'hanlon's. You can contact him through his website: http://fishgoth.com/origami/

No, it isn't (even if it is usually thought)!
It's in fact a creation of Mitsuo Okuda, named "Hallo Fox".

You can use that list to see which of the models from the picture are traditional.

I really hate everyone's fixation about copyright, this seems like a very worthy project that's being stalled for this consideration. According to what little I know, if you create diagrams for someone else's model the copyright for the diagrams is yours. if you photograph someone else's model the copyright for the photograph is yours. If you do an oil painting of someone else's model the copyright is yours.

If someone wants to diagram one of my models and use it to forward the art of Origami I can do little more than applaud their efforts. This cultures we've developed is truly detestable.

And, if you draw someone else's CP, color it in a unique and artistic way, then sell it, unreferenced for thousands of dollars? Yes, people can go too far, in either direction...

I know what you mean steingar, the good thing is that the origami community is relatively small. I'm sure Jumperound creative lab will find the authorization they need . If not, then they can find a handful of origamists here in the forum that will happily help them out with our own models .
