nazgul 8.1- which paper to use?

hey all, I tried folding nazgul 8.1 with biotop paper, 70 x 70 cm, but when I reached the horse's mane, the paper riped and it all shread. with what paper I could get a better results?

I made it out of a 24 in. (61 cm) square of hanji not that long ago and it turned out great (though I had to add a lot of mc to the front legs to stiffen them up a lot to make the model stand.
