Norigami

Post by Cadix »

I've seen pictures of this sort of thing before, but I finally got around to folding origami out of nori. Here's the result:

I have some norigami related questions though. First, the nori was too crisp to fold at first. I ended up putting it back in the bag and revisiting it a while later, at which point it was perfect for folding. I don't know if that's just the moisture from the air seeping in or if it has gone bad or what. Does anyone know how long nori keeps once removed from its package?

I'm hoping to make it into something edible. I'll have to research origami preparations and what kinds of nori there are. I'm hoping to find colors other than green (although green seems about perfect for folding a frog :-)).

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks!

Nori is stuff they use for sushi, right? Didn't even know you could fold something with it.
