Hello all-

I'm going to rely on the insight of you all for an answer to a question that has plagued me for years...

I've attempted to replicate some modular pieces (from the Gurkewitz books and Fuse) that use 1:2 rectangles, using dollar bills- is there a way to do slight adjustment so you don't have to fold in the ends? It makes combining modules a bit tricky at times.

Thanks,

Yes, of course .... You can cut the ends

or it may be better to do a pleat fold in the middle ..
don't know ... it depends on the shape of your pieces ....

Another way would be to get hold of some stage bills and cut them to make 2x1 rectangles. It wouldn't show in a modular fold, and it's much cheaper than using real bills. There are lots of fake bills around, and some of them are surprisingly realistic. OUSA has some, though I don't know what they look like. Otherwise you can often find them in magic shops (for magicians).

Here's the OUSA link.
