Otherwise for making double tissue / unryu, I buy big sheets of unryu from Mulberry Papers and More online store and then treat them with methyl cellulose.
Best is not really clear cut though, as some models will look better with some papers than with others.
What makes some papers better is mostly the toughness. Many of the papers that are made for origami have longer fibers than standard bond, and as such can be folded back and forth more times and be puller harder without ripping, which both help a lot, especially on more complex models.
