Its most likely a spam bot, many other phpBB forums I visit get these sorts of posts, almost the exact same kind word for word. It might be fixed by an IP address restriction if they carry the same one from each post. They usually come around when there is at least one "visitor" always on the site not logged in on the forum index, though sometimes that can be a google-bot.

But, as a start you can NOT reply to spam because that way you only bring additional attention to the spam topics and attention is all spam needs to keep spreading more and more...
Also, your reply to spam will be deleted together with the spam as soon as a moderator comes around, so it's rather useless to reply anyway.

So long and keep folding ^_^

Not exactly. If its only one to a few bots, its not likely to continue for the moment, just until the next bot comes along. Most of them were just set by some person getting paid to do so that randomly came by our forums since we have somewhat high traffic. Its doubtful they actually monitor the bots or which forums they're on after they've been set up and passed along.Ramsfan wrote:okay so that means we can't block them and their is no way to stop them
There have been spam users/posters like this on the forum from time to time, though most just make foul user names and never really post anything. Browse the memberlist sometime, you'll see what I mean .
Edit: Actually there aren't that many spam user names anymore, just the recent "VIAGRA-VIAGRA". Good job Mods/Admins.
Spammers are becomming more and more annoying in the last time. There are programs around that are able to set an account, log in and post to a Forum automatically. These programs and also the other spammers mostly change the IP everytime, so it´s nearly impossible to block them. Also I can´t for good block a user name like for example Britney, but there are already usernames that aren´t allowed.
Saj, Joe and I are trying to delete spam(mers) as soon as possible, but we can´t be there everytime.
If you see any spam entry please do not reply, it´s completely useless and like Daydreamer said just brings them attention.

Unless they really saw this forum as an advertising opportunity I doubt they'd go through the trouble of getting a proxy, though its likely they already have one. Thats also the issue with AOL, they like to recycle IPs, and most broadband users have varrying IPs anyway. I wish there were a more permanent way of blocking malicious users/spammers on the internet, it would help alot with MMO games especially.
tou know islandmassive had a pretty good idea. one of those thingys that has all those letters and numbers and mabet you could get a program or somthing that if you don't have any posts/logins in a week they are sent an e-mail and if they dont reply to that their deleted?
Sorry for my horrible grammar

GO RAMS!!!!
I may be repetitive but we do have this kind of registration form, but there are programs around that can also handle this kind of thing.
And about the email thing: Unactivated accounts do get deleted after a certain period. Spam accounts usually are activated, the problem is that spammers do post and not otherwise.

Ramsfan read our Forum Rules and Regulations you are violating them. This is nearly as bad as spamming, so if you don´t stop further actions will be set on your account.
Oh, and when you´re still there, reading through our whole "How To...?"-Section wouldn´t hurt.
