				Inspiration

This is a tread of uncreated model ideas; it can act as inspiration for creators out there to feed off of. Please do not discuss suggestions on this thread, as this thread will be more useful to people if it remains only a list of prospective subject ideas.
-Starting ideas:
-A good lifelike Hand
-A woven Israeli Flag
-A ring wraith

(*) Pony tail - the head of a girl from the back, with a pony-tail.
(*) Satellite dish (complete with stand and dish)
(*) Fire

Umm... maybe something like
this one?
A couple more to throw into the pot:
- Norman Foster's "Gherkin"
- An Escher tessellation from a single sheet (maybe using some Alex Bateman/Chris Palmer style techniques?)

In the Biddles book, Amazing Origami for Children, they show how to use the balloon decoration (ie: waterbomb?) to make various types of fruit. They have cherries, grapes, oranges and yes, apples. Basically, they fold a balloon and using different colours of paper and different types of stems, they turn them into the various types of fruit.

Shuzo Fujimoto has an EXCELLENT apple, complete with color-changed stem.
One of the better folds I have seen.

Instead of opening a new thread about this same topic I am bumping this because I think it is very interesting.
Apart from the overly discussed manga characters, are there models to be done in origami?
A cow with udder was one but Roman Diaz just made it

Anything else?

Actually the Holstein Cow by John Montroll from Origami Inside-Out already had an udder as well

(and a better head in my opinion)
As for new design ideas it's really hard with most of the animal kingdom already available so I think the direction to go is towards man-made objects (f.e. like my office chair which was probably a first).
There might be still some creatures from fantasy and mythology (as well as animals) that are not designed but the problem with such models is that they are in many cases are not easily distinguishable from other creatures.
There's also the possibility of taking objects/creatures and putting them together in a new context, f.e. like a bear eating/catching a fish (I know that one exists already, it's just an example). Or maybe a cow (with or without udder) just being beamed up to a spaceship.

This might be a bad idea, but if we have already folded too many animals, why not make animal hybrids.
Examples:
Fish with wings. (I am sorry I cannot think well right now.)
Cat with a scorpion's tail.
Snake with the head of a lion.

Well, there are such things as well, for example Satoshi Kamiya's Jackalope that is a rabbit with antlers.

				There's also
Jason Ku's Periton Basilisk and
sharktopus
Still I think is a good idea as long as the models are intended to be like that and not a failed attempt to make an original model that could not be completed, so that the remaining paper is used in a weird way.
