I have always been interested in creating origami flowers, From the traditional iris to kawasaki's rose.
I have purchased Origami Flowers by Sakoda, and I must say I am not the least bit impressed. The flowers are hard to fold, because the diagrams are poor. And the end result the actuall flowers look sloppy. But I have only folded 2 or three flowers.
I am thinking about purchasing

I have folded some of the flower here when they were posted on the site, I thought they were rather good.

I don't have that book, but I'm sure wishing I did!
My five year old is finished school for the year in just two short weeks, and he wants origami bouquets for all his teachers. All five of his teachers! I know a few flowers, but I'm finding that folding a flower and displaying them in a bouquet to be two completely different things!

Yeah I managed to pick a copy of that book at a recent Origami Convention. The models look great displayed in the book, but a lot of them require special papers to differentiate species etc. Most models are modular and a healthy amount of glue is needed to really enjoy the flower display.
The rose in the book is simply the traditional water lilly made in various sizes and then nested on each other (but there are more than 1 rose designs).
