As I've said before, to anyone who's starting to use Inkscape, go though the tutorial. I really does teach a lot.

Not directly related to the topic, but we should put together some inkscape resources for origami diagrammers... It would help ease the learning curve.

Hi everyone! I'm completely new to this forum, actually SARDAC told me about it and the e-book. I have some diagrams for an atlas beetle, and I was wondering if I could contribute to this Christmas e-book. I have a much simpler model of a dragon too but no diagrams yet.

Wow.

Great models, i like the dragon even more than the beetle.
Keep on folding and posting your pictures here, it would really be an enrichment for this forum.

Those are pretty sweet! You should definitely send the Atlas Beetle diagrams. The book could use some more complex material.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I sent one page of the diagrams to sadarac, because I wasn't sure about the clarity (I drew them on graph paper) I'm a bit busy right now, but over thanksgiving vacation I think I'll have time to do the dragon. Also, should I continue this on a new forum?

I was thinking of laying a sheet of tracing paper over the graph paper, then draw the diagrams on the tracing paper. This way, I have the benefit of drawing on a grid, but without all the distracting lines. Maybe you should do that to.

tracing paper may work, but I'm seriously considering either redrawing the diagrams or dumping them and do the dragon instead

i wouldnt dump them. you can easily edit out the graph paper lines in paint or photoshop or a simular program. plus im sure you want the older e-books too.
