origami_8,
I am
stunned.

Absolutely stunned.
You just solved the problem. I don't understand how I could mess it up like I did. I guess, without
colored illustrations, I was just getting turned around. So when I performed the step of the photo that you showed, I had it in reverse. So I must have doen the other folds backwards without knowing it.
OK. I just did the fold again to see if I could figure out what I did wrong. It was the
first illustrated step you have displayed. I did that step correctly, however, I kept the white side
facing forward, thinking that was the front. Now that I have examined the illustrations in the book, I now see the author did show that in the illustration; however, it is so
discreet that it escaped my attention.
Is it any wonder why I barely made it out of high school?
Whew! Well, now that problem is solved. Thank you everyone for all of your help. Also, thank you
origami_8 for your
photo illustrations, they were also a big help with solving the complications I was having with step 5.
metrodj,
Keep trying, once you do it, you will be doing the "I coulda had a V-8!" head-slap!
Your right. I did.
