Ideas for Convention ^_^

Hello I am from Panama city, Panama and I want to organize an Origami Convention or first show my models on any anime event, but I am having trouble deciding how to present my models. It would be an indoors event, so no problem with the wind and stuff.
Should I pin them on a board? Put them on a box?? Or just on a table?
Any ideas???

i have never been to a convention before, but i would say table, because people can see more things clearer.
what would make it look really cool though, is if your had them not just in a line, but scattered in life-like poses, like two wolves locked in battle instead of just a wolf standing there (that is, if you have a dog/wolf on display)

One thing that you can do for display is to put small cardboard boxes on the table, and cover the table with a large cloth. Then, you have the flat areas for most models, and the raised areas for the very complex .

You can display the models however you want. There are many different methods that work. Traditionally at conventions I have seen them arranged on tables, but even then some pieces are framed, in boxes/cases, etc. You can hang things from the ceiling (works well for bauble-like modulars), put them in frames (great for tessellations-I know one guy who folded a bunch of insects and mounted them on pins in a framed box), mounted them on pedestals, etc. Whatever you want and looks good.

You could come to Bogota in April 1, 2 and 3 and see how a real convention goes. We will have the first Latinamerican convention with the Guests: Tomoko fuse, Nicolas Gajardo (Chile) and a special Colombian folder yet to be chosen.

People who will attend this convention are veterans from many other conventions around this continent.

One other good idea is to use multiple levels, i.e. not have all your models on one flat plane. Risers, or even pedestals, can be easily made to make your display more attractive.
