japanese book - animal box pleating

Hello - perhaps someone can help me with this very vague request

I once saw a japanese origami book on ebay. it was termed rare and quite expensive. i can't remember who it was by but from what i could tell on the front cover, they were all animals folded using the box pleating technique (and quite complex and realistic looking).

i've used ebay for at least 6-7 years and I've only seen that book once (so it's even more rare than Harbin's Origami 4, which I have seen about 3 times).

Does anyone know what book it is and who it is by?

Maybe you're referring to "Origami Animals in the New Style" by Akira Kawamura (ISBN 4763630784). Seems to fit your description. Here's the cover:

It's out of print, but there are a few sellers offering it on Amazon Japan

Thanks Gilad

By the way I really like your website - particularly the book reviews! Sadly most of the books I want are now out of print.
