I'm trying to learn how to fold from crease patterns

I've been folding for over 6 years on and off. Only recently have I been really interested in increasing my level. I was wondering what the best method was to trying to fold from crease patterns (if any). If someone could post some beginner CPs that'd be great. I was also wondering if there was any good book I should read. I was thinking about getting Brian Langs "Origami Design Secrets," but if there is a better one let me know.
