Did anyone of you ever saw this, what's about the most horrible thing I have ever seen:someone EATING paper?!
I mean come on!What's the point? At least fold something before you eat it,I guess.....It's just respectless for the paper and its folder!

Well I have read somewhere one of the molecular gastromony chefs decided to put flavored edible ink into an inkjet printer, and printing food designs on rice paper (no the japanese kind - the edible kind for rice paper rolls....)
Not sure if you can fold rice paper though, they are pretty brittle and can't handle a crease when dry, and when wet the surfaces stick to each other.....

You can also do this at home. Edible ink for several printers can be ordered on the internet. Edible paper is even less a problem, it is often sold as sweets for children. You can use this to decorate cakes and other things for special occasions. There are also foldable kinds of edible paper available.

You're all missing out!
I like eating paper, vastly prefer it to chewing gum - cheaper too.
The best paper is cupcake wrappers or similar so that you get the cakey bit blending in.
Uh... did I share more than you cared to know!

Eatable origami
I can see me now folding 3.5 Ryuzin and then eat it.
Or a scaled Rober J Lang Koi on a grill
The possibilities are infinite.
This would be a nice idea for a restaurant

I should say that non-edible industrial paper are full of nasty chemicals (even ones used for cooking), like chlorine and glue (sizing remember - like methylcellulose!)
Best if you stick to eating the edible ones!

Just for interests sake, methyl cellulose is an edible product. It is used in a wide variety of foods as a thickening agent.

Yes. You should be able to buy it at the chemist's , but ask him before you fork over the cash, because pharmaceutical grade will be much more expensive than Wall Paper paste, which you should be able to find at a paint store. The local chemist should be able to suggest a place to buy it.
(Right Jody ?
However, a craft store should have it in ~ 1 pound (or Kg) packages.
