I'm going to be a counselor for a little kids camp, and have been recruited to do Origami with them. I need alot of stories. I know about Sadako, and I have a few storigami books. Do you guys know any other stories/myths/legends? I know about oneorigin myth that some guy's grand daughter was getting married, and he was too poor o get her a decent present, and made her something out of origami, and that was the origin ofthe art, but for the life of me I cannot find it

Ok this is "all" that i know, sadako was living in hiroshima when they started bombing it on august 6 1945. she escaped with leukemia, she was bedridden and a friend of hers told her how to make a crane and she tried to fold 1000 but died at number 644. a memorial is held each year at her statue on peace day, august 6.

Don't forget the myth about the origami forum member who actually used the search function. But who would believe a story the farfetched
