kami + foil?

Someone has to have tried this before, I am currently out of tissue paper for a few weeks, but want to fold a model and have the ability to shape (decently)well at the end. I am quite sure it would not be too thick for the model I have planned. So has anyone tried this? What were the results like? Does it make the kami any stronger so it doesn't rip as easily at points?
