It looks like the "new" models are swordfish, and Tokinobu's (Sp) Goldfish. But Origami Sea Life has 38 models vs. 26 Models in Under the Sea.

However, it looks like Amazon has Sea Life for ~ $10 USD vs ~$14.50 USD for Under the Sea.

It's got a few new things. Ray, tokinobu goldfish, Betta fish, Swordfish, gourami, Perch.

It is without a bunch of things from Origami Sea Life, most notably the Blackdevil Angler and Fiddler Crab.

Origami Under the Sea does have many models from Origami Sea Life but the new models are:
Montroll: perch, swordfish
Lang: ray, Tokinobu's goldfish, Siamese fighting fish, gourami

And a new release for early 2011 from Lang and Montroll will have more of the Origami Sea Life models with some new ones too.
Sea Creatures in Origami - coming 2011
Montroll: narwhal, octopus, parrotfish
Lang: banded angelfish, Hideko's goldfish, California rock lobster

in fairness, i think the actual retail cost of sea life, were it not out of print, would still be ~ $14.95. but i think sea life really *is* kaput (not even the "last bastions," kimscrane or OUSA, seem to have them anymore), "new" copies from amazon are going for ~ $90 USD!!!

Origami Sea Life is out of print and Amazon has resellers selling it for $14.66 to $999. Get one while you can ;-)

Unfortunately, it looks like Montroll himself is not one of the resellers. His Amazon store is here:

Hmm the same goes on with Origami Dinosaurs, which is pretty much Prehistoric Origamui with some new models.

It is a great way to revive models that were included in books that are no longer available, but I hope this is not becoming a trend...

Some models like Lang's Siamese Fighting Fish and Banded Angelfish were published in other publications.

Anyway: Sea Life is still available on bookdepository.com (a very good and cheap site and free delivery worldwide).

well, it's worth noting that dinosaur origami seems to have considerably more new models than origami under the sea. that is, all the sauropods seem new, and even the tyrannosaurus seems different from the one in prehistoric origami. that said, the book also looks really schizophrenic with his old designs and his new ones, which are more physiologically correct (infuriatingly, the larger theropods are not. sigh), like a dinosaur encyclopedia where half the illustrations are from the 70s and half from the 90s.

Montroll also has a new e-book out, something like Jungle Bird Origami, with old designs and there will be a new polyhedra book (but this could be a replacement of the first polyhedra book, since this is out of print)

It looks like a new edition of mythological creatures and the chinese zodiac in origam is in the works, too. though it appears that it's just the cover that's changed.

Yup, it's just a different cover as Montroll did with Sculptures, Sea Life and Prehistoric Origami

It's funny: Montroll started his books with covers of folded models, then he switched to just computerized images only (no photos) and now he's switching back to actual photos

The Polyhedra book is new and really cool. Like a Origami Design Secrets for Polyhedra. In the book he also writes that he plans on making a second fourth book on Polyhedra that shall be equally interesting as the new book.

the third edition of origami sea life is coming out soon. is it origami under the sea parts 1 and 2 combined, now, or just a straight up reprint of the 1st edition?
