Buying directly from Origami House

Post by bethnor »

with the closure of sasugabooks, i think i will go the route for buying my tanteidan directly from gallery origami house this year, as overall, it seems a little cheaper than origami-shop. there are two options when one purchases: surface air lifted, and registered surface air lifted. my google translator is a little funky, but if i understand correctly, basically the latter option means my shipment is insured. if i go with the former, and the book never shows up, i am basically SOL (s*** out of luck). is that right?

for those who have purchased from them in the US, what is the average delivery time?

Well I don't live in the US but in Europe and I ordered with them a couple of times and my experience is amazingly positive.

They are quick and reliable and paying with Paypal makes it much easier than having to send cash.

My Tanteidan 16 book was delivered today and I ordered it 8 days ago...

We pre-ordered the newest Convention Book with registered shipping and got it yesterday. I guess the books have been sent out shortly after the convention was over so that would make for fast delivery.
On previous orders they have been very reliable with usual shipping times. If I remember right for security reasons we always chose registered shipping.

in this instance, i believe this only makes reference to their paper store. books are purchased through paypal. i believe they won't ship papers overseas due to the expense and logistics of packaging and shipping the larger squares (35cm).
